Out of the Blue draws inspiration from the theme of fishermen, as suggested by the team's faculty guide. However, stylistic and script ideas were also influenced by other stop motion films such as Pogo's Pingu and Isle of Dogs. The result is a heartwarming and humorous story that aims to entertain even those with short attention spans.

The creation of Out of the Blue posed several challenges for the team, as it was their first foray into the world of stop motion animation. However, their dedication and perseverance paid off, resulting in a visually stunning and engaging film. The team began by sketching storyboards and then proceeded to create the intricate set and characters using materials such as modeling clay, wire, paper mache, and cloth. The film was brought to life using Adobe Premiere Pro, Dragon Frame, and Canon cameras.

Out of the Blue boasts impressive technical specifications, with a resolution of 1080P HD and an aspect ratio of 16:9 (1920x1080). The model set measures 400mm x 800mm x 150mm, while the main character model stands at 60mm x 60mm x 200mm.

This captivating clay animation has garnered recognition in the design world, receiving the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Movie, Video, and Animation Design category in 2019. This award celebrates designs that demonstrate outstanding creativity, technical skill, and a commitment to improving the quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
